The flagship of our production. iO product family is our vision on how to get the best potential from indigenous grapes wines; Selva delle Mura, the actual name of this wine, is the old name of one of the estate’s fields where massive rocks come out directly from underneath the soil all covered up with grass, bushes and trees. Just like Montepulciano entry level, it’s  vinified with skins in stainless steel vat, but then it ages for 15 months in French oak barriques (used four times) to go back to steel until the bottling; lastly it ages at east another year in bottle before its release. It smells of chocolate, licorice, balsamic and toasted notes, all supported by a vigorous body sharped by a strong acidic streak and a long persistence. Best paired with red meats, game, aged cheeses and salumi.
